If you're not prepared, airports and flying can be daunting. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a worry-free start to your getaway in Bydgoszcz. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a great experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, any medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and choose shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
