We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our top tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and having a ball in Cosquin before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be easy if you take the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare set of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, make room in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and go for shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
