Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're well prepared. We've made a list of handy hints that will get your Imbassaí escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack in your passport, important documents, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a laptop filled with your favourite shows are some great options. If you plan to take a quick snooze, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a few toiletry items to ensure you hop off the plane feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Opt for slip-on footwear, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a sweater in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression tights or socks and move your legs and feet often.
