We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be breezing through airport security and having a blast in Karacasu in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack in your passport, travel docs, wallet and medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a tablet filled with your favourite movies are some terrific options. If you hope to take a short nap, a comfy neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you step off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and matches, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and pick shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
