If you're not prepared, air travel can be tough. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks for a pleasant start to your getaway in L'Appelle. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, put in your passport, travel docs, credit cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a tablet crammed with your favourite movies are some great options. If you hope to catch forty winks, a comfy neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll step off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and choose shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
