Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well. We've compiled a list of handy travel tips that will help get your La Gi escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a pleasure if you carry the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean pair of socks and a magazine or two. Next, leave space in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your important medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when choosing what to wear on board. Consider your footwear choice with care too, as swelling of the feet and ankles are quite common. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are always a sensible way to go.
- The serious condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Doing foot and leg exercises in your seat helps to prevent this developing. Wearing a pair of compression socks also helps reduce the risk.
