We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be cruising through airport security and enjoying Laax in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a pleasure if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good book. Next, find room in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, your important medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your prime concern when selecting what to wear on board. Consider your footwear choice with care too, as swollen ankles and feet are a common side effect of flying. Roomy, closed-toed shoes are always a sensible way to go.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long flights is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to walk around and give your legs a stretch. Compression tights and socks are another simple way to help minimize this risk.
