Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Mahone Bay could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. We've compiled some useful hints that will help you start your next great adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack in your passport, travel documents, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a laptop filled with your favourite movies are always good options. If you intend to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you hop off the plane feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and go for shoes that are flat and easy to take on and off.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers on long-haul flights. Lower your risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs and ankles moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
