No matter where you’re coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you’ve planned ahead. We’ve put together a list of top travel tips that will help get your Piranhas holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an amazing flight experience is to pack in advance. So, let’s start with the essentials: passport, travel docs, credit cards and any vital medications. Next, bring items that’ll help keep you entertained, like some electronic gadgets or a magazine. It’s also smart to bring your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. Finally, don’t forget to squeeze in toiletries like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a spare change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don’t have a Swiss Army knife hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to make yourself as comfortable as you can. Dress in loose, breathable clothing and take a jacket just in case you get chilly. Pick well-fitting, flat shoes as your feet may swell during the journey. Leave the high heels and hiking boots in your checked luggage.
- You’ve probably heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of inactivity. There’s lots you can do to mitigate your risk. Wear a pair of compression socks or tights, drink plenty of water and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Walk around the cabin when possible or perform exercises in your seat.
