We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our insider tips and you'll be breezing through airport security and having a blast in Pulau Perhentian Besar in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a comfortable experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and something to read. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, your important medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and choose shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to remove.
- The result of sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers during long-haul flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
