Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Ribishi holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a comfortable experience if you take the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare change of clothes and a good book. Next, find room in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items can differ between airlines, the general rule to follow is nothing flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes things like tools, metal cutlery, aerosol cans and flares. Sports equipment like ice skates, and objects that could injure passengers, such as pepper spray and firearms, are also banned from the cabin.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to be as comfortable as possible. Go for flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to take a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
