No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've planned ahead. We've compiled a list of handy hints that will get your Rokers Point escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack in your passport, travel documents, cash and medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a phone filled with your favourite movies are some terrific options. If you hope to take a quick nap, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and pick shoes that are flat and easy to slip on and off.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
