We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and enjoying Rwanda in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a pain-free travel experience is to pack ahead. So, let's start with the basics: passport, official ID, bank cards and daily medications. Next, bring items that'll help pass the time, like some electronic devices or a few magazines. You'll also want to bring your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. Finally, be sure to squeeze in toiletries like a toothbrush, deodorant and a clean set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp or pointed objects hiding in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive substances, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a smart choice, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
