We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and exploring Sarajevo before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a hassle-free travel experience is to plan ahead. Start with the essentials: passport, travel documents, credit cards and any vital medications. Next, bring items that'll help keep you busy, like some electronic devices or a thrilling book. It's also a wise idea to pack your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. And of course, don't forget to toss in toiletry items like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a clean T-shirt.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable products, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Go for slip-on footwear, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to take a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
