Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Tanndalen escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a pleasure if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, make room in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by donning layers, and pick flat, easy-to-remove footwear like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
