No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you prepare well enough. Check out these handy travel tips that will help get your The Crags holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a stress-free experience if you pack the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare change of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a sharp object lurking in your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Go for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and don't forget to bring a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
