Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Valloire escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a great experience if you've got all the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a few magazines. Next, leave space in your bag for your phone and charger, any vital medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a Swiss Army knife hiding in your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and go for shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
