Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. Follow these top travel tips that will get your Zanaga escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a comfortable experience if you bring the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and something to read. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a Swiss Army knife hiding in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable goods, such as fuel and fireworks, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose clothing is a wise option, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
