I had a wonderful stay at the Red roof Inn, the rooms were clean and smelled nice. The manager that took care of me during my stay was amazing, super kind and very helpful. Would 10/10 recommend and would definitely stay there again!

The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The room was big, the beds were pretty uncomfortable though. Perfect for a quick stop for the night.

Staff are rude and nosey every time I stay there when I travel through Illinois they interrogate me about y I’m in town which is not only uncomfortable but weird like y do I have to tell you why I’m PAYING to sleep somewhere. Also fees for every little thing service animal ?? They try n charge I no late check out which I could have sworn was listed on this site as available per request. The hotel itself was not busy so me asking for a late check out at noon should’ve been okay Waukegan hotels and pretty much must of the budget friendly ones have gone down hill and the staff aren’t very friendly . I had a late check in at about 11pm and had a 15 hour drive ahead of me so that extra hour of rest was really needed stop interrogating your guests you’re not detectives

I loved the welcome sign for the Naval graduates! If they had smart tvs, it would be better. If they had an elevator, I would be better or at least someone to help with your bags. Housekeeping came in the room regardless of the “do not disturb” sign but after a polite conversation, it was solved. Overall good experience. AC works great in the room. Gets a little stuffy in the hallways though. The fan helped them a lot! I would stay again.

The staff was very friendly. Clean facility. Comfortable beds. There is not an elevator, which was surprising. Try to get a room on first floor if possible or you'll be hauling luggage and what not up stairs.

Property was dirty—the sink in my room had beard hair in it, a massive crack and slow drainage. The walls are paper-thin, so I could hear everything in the room next to me—the people weren’t being loud, either. The staff was nice, though.
