"Stayed overnight whilst spending a few days fishing on the local river. A warm welcome on arrival and a nice little clean room with everything I needed (comfy bed, warm shower, tv etc). Breakfast was freshly cooked and very good value at £9.85. Beer was also very good and a great selection. Staff were really friendly and happy to have a natter. Look forward to returning next year!"

"This is a lovely place to stay. It is just off the M5 in a rural location. A beautiful pub with history. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean and comfortable. The food choices are varied and when served, well presented. We will stay again when we are visiting family in Cheshire or Scotland. "

"We had the hayloft that could sleep 3 but was a win for us as a couple. It was in a out building, with easy access to the garden, bar and dining areas, but was a bit difficult to get suitcases over the gravel pathway. Very quiet, lots of space and windows to open. The restaurant meal and breakfast was fabulous."
