"Clean room"

"Great staff. We were there for two nights. We didn't eat or drink at the hotel due to time constraints."

"The room was modern and clean, however, the shower in the bathroom was a concern. Getting into the shower required stepping over a high tub which can be difficult for seniors. There is a glass partition which was not secure (hinged) and felt like it would swing out if you accidently leaned on it. Not the safest bathroom I have been in."

"Very quiet in the bedrooms. Especially as the Hotel appeared busy. Food arrived quickly and larger portions than we expected. Breakfast works out very well. Plenty of coffee machines which is Great!!"

"The room was on 4th and elevator did not reach so to reach had to be stairs. That’s not a problem until I broke my ancle and fell trying to reach my room. 😖"

"Absolutely loved our stay. Convenient to Edinburgh (by car), great staff but what made our stay special was the property itself - absolutely beautiful... it's like being transported back in time. The setting is beautiful - so peaceful and the gorunds are beautiful."

"Lee- Anne, Anjuli and Nisha made the entire four day stay truly memorable. They offered incredible service and were extremely kind and helpful. We loved the location, just out of the way of Old Town but close enough to all the sights by bus (right outside the hotel). We especially enjoyed the dinner menu as it catered perfectly to vegetarians with a great selection of vegan meals as well. Our room had a lovely view and we had a wonderful experience."

"It was ok. Location was good for transportation on buses or taxis. The room we got was definitely not a “luxury” hotel room or spacious like advertised and did not look like photos. There was no lift, so they should tell people they have to do stairs. The towel warmer didn’t work and there was no plug in for the hairdryer in the bathroom or anywhere near a mirror. It had a bed and breakfast without the breakfast kind of feel, rather than a “boutique hotel,” so seems a little higher priced...

"Great property, with a good location. Quite, and only two train stops away from city center. And the shower had great pressure. Clean, and great amenities (pool, gym, and restaurant) Roxana at fron desk made it very easy, and provided me with a conversion plug from US to that weird british plug. My family and I enjoyed the stay."

"Our experience was lovely in the pool and room service was great, but when we moved the couch to set up the bed for our toddler, we found a huge amount of old puke in multiple places including under the toddler bed we were using. We had someone come to the room to check and he was fantastic (thanks so much for your help Kyle!) however we were told we couldn’t move rooms because the hotel was fully booked, we were then given a breakfast voucher and 20% off of our dinner that we had in the room,...

"Small rooms , no coffee in rooms. Met our needs"

"The rooms are wonderful. We were put in a room below street level. The room was great but the hallways smelled terrible of mold and mildew and triggered allergies. The staff seemed to ignore requests. Overall, nice but seemly over priced"

"I always use Motel One whereever I travel. Edinburgh branch is also good location and you could explore city center and outskirt easily."
