Nice and recently renewed hotel located in the neighborhood of Leith: Edinburgh port. Very good breakfast with many options and kind staff. The city center is easily reachable in 15/20 minutes by tram, the same that connect this part of the city with the airport

The location and staff are great, however, the room specifically was dull, gray and slightly claustrophobic. Other suites are very well decorated but the standard room felt like it was going for prison-chic. The sheets also felt slightly "plasticy".

Hotel is in an excellent location. Tram stop is close, great food options within a block, and great views. The room, however, left much to be desired. The mattress was awful. It felt like we were sleeping on a box spring. We confirmed that all rooms have the same mattresses so moving rooms would not help. We asked for an additional topper and never received it. The toilet would only flush about a third of the time. We asked staff to look at it twice and continued to have problems. These combined issues made the stay unpleasant.
