"The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The common areas were clean and well maintained, but the real standout was the breakfast and evening Kickback. It made our stay so much easier and more enjoyable, and was definitely one of the highlights of our visit."
"We were two women on a 'girls weekend' and were "upgraded" to a queen suite so one of us slept on the sofabed which was reasonably comfortable - the queen bed was very comfortable. We had an awesome view of Forest Park and a spacious room. The whole place felt luxurious. The fitness center was a bit stuffy but had a LOT of equipment (although some needed maintenance...). The pool was huge and the water temperature just right. We loved the location next to Forest Park and CWE with lots of restaurants nearby. We also loved that the Chase Club had a band on Friday and Saturday nights so we could have a nightcap and dance a bit before heading upstairs. We got a competitive rate (for the area) via Expedia which made it affordable. My only complaint was the cost of parking. $40/night to self-park as a guest of the hotel was outrageously expensive IMO. We were both driving from two different cities so I ended up parking my (older) car in the city lot about 3 blocks away. While we decided against a late night movie, it was fun to have the theater right there as well. It was hot and humid so having so much within a few blocks was helpful. I would definitely stay here again!"
Hampton Inn St. Louis-Downtown (At the Gateway Arch)
8/10 Good
"Our rooms had a decent view of the arch. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean and the AC worked well. Great downtown stay overall."
"Excellent location to stay for a baseball game. The hotel was very nice and clean. Self parking was easy across the street in the parking garage. Would definitely stay here again! "
"All staff are absolutely amazing! It was within walking distance to Union Station and pretty close to downtown St. Louis. There is an on-site restaurant, Sybergs that has great burgers. This hotel offers social hour woth chips, salsa and cheese from 5-7. They also have fountain sodas available for free 3-10 PM. Beds are comfy, pillows are normal hotel pillows, bathroom is small, no fan for circulation but clean. Would stay here again."
