"One elevator was out of service and the escalator smelled like hydraulic fluid, from the 3rd floor to the lobby. The place is due for a refresh, furniture is dated and our room looked a little tired. It doesn't help that the price doubled because of the marathon that was going on that day.

"I slipped in the bathtub immediately after turning on the water, which suggests that the housekeeping staff may not have thoroughly rinsed away the soap residue left from cleaning. No bathtub mat was available. Fortunately, I was able to grab the shower curtain to steady myself; otherwise, the fall could have resulted in a serious injury.
In addition, the pillows did not smell fresh. I also found hair in the bathtub upon arrival.
