Bar disappointing however. For a city centre bar on a Saturday night, near a major concert venue, to have neither music nor sound on the tv (for a world cup match which was being shown) for those who were staying in the hotel, and those also returning for post concert drinks, is incredibly poor. Also had half of the seating area closed off and cleaned, and only serving customers on one side if the bar.
We asked bartenders if we could have some sound on for the match which was on the screens, to be told that the sound couldnt be put on because bar staff cant hear the orders. Never heard the like of it. Either that was a nonsense excuse, or the Clayton need to rethink where the speakers are located in the bar, to allow staff to hear customers at the bar.
Very disappointed that we opted to come back to the hotel after the concert instead of going to another pub which had some music and a bit of atmosphere.
Recommend Clayton look at this arrangement as many customers near us were also not impressed."
