"Fantastic place to stay next door to the Sissinghurst Castle Gardens. Friendly and beautiful. We will definitely return"

"Advertised as an apartment with breakfast included. But in reality is a chalet bedroom and ensuite. Breakfast was 2 mini yogurts in the fridge, a couple of tiny croissants and cereals. Beverages are DIY. Check in is via a member of staff behind the bar in the pub. Unresponsive to phone calls with the number provided prior to the stay where I attempted to know if there was possibility of an earlier check-in but since not being able to get through I had to check-in at the standard 3pm. "Nice and private"

"Lovely historic inn at the top of a lovely historic town! Breakfast and accomodation were great, highly recommend! Great value for money... parking is tricky if you need it, but not impossible."

"Limited parking in an old fashioned Harveys pub with rooms & a restaurant. Stayed on a Thursday which transpires too be 'steak night' so menu was limited on the evening but what was offered seemed good quality at a reasonable price. Would stay again if in the area. Also, really helpful / friendly staff."

"We went for the comfort room. It was tiny. Nowhere to hang or layout clothes, not even a chair to put things on. Superficially clean but needed a proper deep clean. Breakfast was fine (good range of cooked options) and location excellent. Certainly not worth the amount we paid for it (over £160). We plan to return to Rye as it is such a beautiful town but we will find somewhere else to stay next time."

"Very comfortable and clean room, helpful staff and within walking distance to the town."

"The single room above a quiet pub has the best price you will find in the area, and an interesting history. Nice meals are available downstairs, very convenient. The Sunday lunch (I had the roast chicken with all the trimmings) was especially delicious. The friendly owners shared lots of information about the local area. The entire building is very clean and well maintained and the room is cosy with nice touches without being overdone. There is a tea kettle with coffee and tea options. The few...

"Room was clean, staff especially Sarah were very helpful. Full English breakfast available each morning. Downside was location right next to a busy road, parking is available but limited. Also the inn is in the process of being sold, so may not be available in the near future."

"It reminded us a bit of Faulty Towers. Very English, not so modern. But very clean and totally fine for the night."

"We had such a lovely stay! The house is so unique, our room was beautiful and spotless, as was the en-suite! The couple whose home it is were so kind and welcoming. We had a lovely stay, lovely breakfast, and would absolutely recommend to anyone thinking of booking."

"Hotel was nice and comfortable overall. Breakfast was great! Only hiccup was that hotel rebooked us in a different room than I had booked without telling us, new room didn't have bed set up that we wanted."

"Was such a treat and would love to return! Thank you x"

"Lovely room, very clean, delightful hosts, great breakfast-I would stay again!!!!"

"Good location in the middle of town."
