"Owned by descendants of the Gilchrist family who started this last industrial town. The couple was very friendly, helpful and personable. Nice swimming pool. Nice yard games for children to play and adults to enjoy as well."
"Large 2 story home in a residential area that was split into several "suites" We stayed in the smaller Pond View room which was like a studio apartment with a queen size bed that had a ceiling fan over it, large TV and a kitchenette that had a microwave, coffee maker, college size fridge/freezer, and a few dishes. There's a small sitting area with wicker love seat, coffee table and 2 chairs and an electric "heater". Small walk-in closet area that had a few hangers and shelves for putting clothes and other items. The bathroom featured a walk-in shower with a multi-head shower head, as well as the usual and another shelving area. Communal porch area that had a BBQ, a couple tables and chairs and a hot tub. The "pond" was a small owner dug pond which was nice to look at. La Pine offers a few restaurants and grocery options as well as many areas to explore nearby."
"The biggest issue to be aware of is that this hotel does not have an elevator. So any rooms on the second floor require dragging luggage up stairs.
They have always had a first floor room available but if we ever got a second floor room we would not be able to carry the luggage up the stairs."
"Stayed overnight on my way to Washington state. The Lodge was comfortable and quiet. Shannon, the manager, was friendly and helpful. I would stay here in the future."
"Refrigerator was iced over, had to put a piece of wood in front of door to keep it shut. Couldn’t get a pint of ice cream in the freezer because of built up ice. We asked for more towels and TP, got that but the person didn’t pick up the garbage while they were there. When you flushed the toilet it sounded like a jet taking off due to air in the lines, same with the kitchen sink, spit water everywhere. $5/night for internet that would only support 2 devices and that didn’t work half the time is a bit outrageous. When we added an extra night to fish it cost double what I booked for originally. What a ripoff. We will stay somewhere else next year for the opening week of fishing at Odell."
"Don't judge a book by its cover.....I enjoyed my stay at this lodge. Located in a small town but close to so much. You have within a drive a National Park, waterfalls and hotsprings. There is a gas station and sandwich shop across the street. Reception was professional, room was clean and spacious. Nice hot shower. You can't go wrong with this lodge. Book today!"
"I had requested an ADA room but was told they didn’t have one. I thought all hotels were supposed to have at least one room that was ADA. They did put us on the ground floor even though it was more costly because they only had “suites “. We walked into a regular room with a queen bed, fridge and microwave. lol nothing special. Man at the front desk was very polite and helpful. "
"We were visiting family friends so we didn’t spend much time there but I would definitely come back. We stayed in a cottage and it was comfortable for 3 of us (1 couple, 1single). It was great having a full kitchen but we only had time to use the fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The floor/ceiling fan needed a cleaning but that was nothing compared to all of the positives. Beautiful grounds and John that checked us in and out was very helpful and friendly. "
