"OMG. I can’t say enough about the staff. I booked this hotel based on breakfast and airport transportation included and it was listed as Milan location. When they first picked us up and the hotel seemed quite a a distance from Milan. It was in a small quiet community about a 15 min taxi ride from the airport. First appearances are deceiving. Tiny small entry, small spaces etc. Then the magic happens. The staff was so kind and helpful. The room is adequate, modern, comfortable with nice shower, plug ins, and super clean. The hospitality was beyond!!! The gals at arrival explained so much. Luca saved us from a big travel mistake as I didn’t realize that the train station was soooo much further away and we had to catch a 7 am train to Spiez Switzerland. They arranged a 430 am breakfast bag to go, taxi to airport to get to train to take us to the main Milan Central!!! But the most lovely surprise was the excellent food at the hotel restaurant!!! This little lovely hotel had a hidden beautiful full service top notch restaurant. Fantastic wine, food and service. We stayed here on our first leg of our trip and the last. It was a perfect way to get to the airport and feel supported in our journey. The driver of the shuttle was so kind and helpful and the hotel communicated almost immediately with any questions or pick up times. Outstanding little gem!! The history behind the hotel is also very fun. Best place in town."

"The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was amazing. I booked four nights and when I arrived they had upgraded my room to one with a Lake Como view! I didn’t realize breakfast was included and enjoyed their large elegant Buffett each morning. When I left very early on my last day they had taken it upon themselves to pack a breakfast and provided hot coffee to go."

"A destination hotel sitting above Varese with gardens overlooking Lake Varese below. We were warmly greeted at reception and having arrived in the evening after a flight and drive, we chose to eat in the restaurant. Good move - the food was very good but surpassed by our waiter's enthusiasm to make crepe suzette at our table, which was excellent and thoroughly entertaining. We stayed in May, so the pool was closed and left before exploring the area but glad we stayed here - charming, historic and whilst there are areas that require a little TLC, it adds to the character. Rooms were comfortable, well equipped and a nice bathroom."

"I almost don’t want to tell anyone about this place, but then the team work so hard, they deserve to be busy! I can’t recommend this place highly enough. From the moment we stepped into reception, we were treated like VIPs, the staff are without exception, incredible. Warm, friendly, professional- every part of the experience feels five star. The family spa is beautiful, the grounds are stunning, the views breathtaking, and the food and drink amazing. We loved waking up to the spectacular views, getting the most gorgeous breakfast and then wandering around the botanical gardens, seeing the donkeys and exploring. A day trip to Lugano is a must, as is Menaggio with the ferry over to Bellagio. Tremezzo and Gandria are also good trips. The hotel was really peaceful when we were there in early May, we didn’t use the outdoor pool as the weather was a bit changeable, but it’s such a great base from which to explore. It’s in a fairly remote spot, so you can’t really walk out of the hotel to other places but Lugano and Porlezza are both a short drive away and the restaurants onsite are great. Word of warning, if you fly in to malpensa airport and drive to the hotel, take the route through Switzerland and Lugano, not the east side of the lake. The roads are pretty treacherous, mountain side and winding and the Italians drive a bit crazy! We will be back to the PSM, we just loved it."

"Great location on the lake and right across from the ferry. Center of everything else in Como. The place is beautiful. Our room was upgraded and very very nice . It was clean and the staff was incredibly helpful. Highly recommended. "

"Front desk staff and concierge were accommodating and friendly. One person was not so nice - ignored us standing there for quite a while even though no one else was around. But other than that, excellent! Spa was amazing! We enjoyed it every day. Would definitely stay here again!"
