"We just finished our fabulous stay. The room was spotless and we so appreciated the VIP welcome fruit platter! The grounds are clean, workers are friendly and very helpful, and the food was delicious. We enjoyed the hot springs and loved venturing to a couple of the Waterfalls. "While Karao Hotel may offer budget nightly stays, it offers amazingly large rooms, close vicinity to the Liberia airport, public bus directory in front of Karao, and extraordinary professionally brewed coffee shop and breakfast meals. "Honestly, Senora Elma was amazing to my children and I. Although many of the staff we encountered did not speak our language, they were patient with us and did not make us feel uncomfortable. There are many attractions close by, as well as food options. Breakfast is included, ans they were willing anf able to accommodate us with our plant-based meals. "I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning.
