"The people here were amazing. Every interaction was delightful from start to finish. That being said, the property could use some work. The elevator sounded sketchy, and the room could use updating and maintenance. Despite the disrepair, the staff was so wonderful I would come back regardless. "The rooms are clean and comfortable. But communication is poor. I booked a room through Expedia and selected a room with photos of a king bed and pullout couch. When I arrived, I was told that my room only had the king bed and was asked if I wanted to upgrade. I asked to change to a room with either 2 queens or a king with a pullout couch. Then they told me they were at capacity and had no other rooms, but they could make the change if I came back the next day. This same conversation happened...

"The staff is poorly trained. One of two elevators was operational. The bathtub floor was dangerously slippery. No was there is no place to hang towels. There was no glass 👓 in the bathroom. The rugs needed to be vacuumed."

"Sheets had stains on them and found bedbugs on BOTH beds as soon as I arrived. There was also not any toilet paper and the room was incredibly small considering how much they charge for it. The two beds barely fit and all there is left is a space in between the beds for you to place your stuff. There isn't even a trashcan inside the room, so you would need to either go down the stairs and go outside and throw your trash away or use the small trashcan in the bathroom."

"We've stayed here on a number of occasions visiting our Northeastern Student. This time was simply to visit the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Location is great. Walkable to a couple of restaurants. Above normal continental breakfast in the morning. Limited parking on the ground floor (you need to have your room key to access BEFORE you try to enter or you'll get stuck on a very steep incline with not many options to back out. "I stay at this hotel often. Expedia has a great breakfast Boucher in the amount of $56. The restaurant downstairs says that is open from 7 AM to 11 AM for breakfast. This past weekend I went downstairs at 7:30 the person at the restaurant entrance said the chef has not arrived that he is late and that will call my room when he arrives. This is now the third time that this has happened where the chef is not there at 7 AM. The food is excellent. "

"The best thing about this hotel is its location and its breakfast. It is right in the middle of Brighton and 5 minutes or less from the B Green Line and 10 minutes from the C Green Line. The neighborhood has some cute diners, restaurants and cafes. The included breakfast is decent, with waffles and eggwichs, fruit, yogurt, cereal and plenty of coffee and tea. "Boston Marriott Newton was my high school summer job many years ago. In between that and 2o years, I have recommended the hotel because of my experience there and because I'm a local. "The place was spacious, clean, quiet , and conveniently located, near to supermarkets and public transport. We stay for Boston marathon 5 nigths so price was much higher than normal, this means that even it was a good place to stay , it was very expensive. We were 2 persons but it only has 1 chair, no sofa or any other place to sit. This was my only issue."
