"The rooms are remodeled and they are kept very clean. The rest of the hotel isn’t remodeled. And the beds are pretty cheap and uncomfortable. Staff is generally pretty friendly. And the breakfast is good and changed daily which is nice. Have stayed here a few times. "
"There are pros and cons with this property. We came on a Saturday night after we had lost power the night before. Planned to use the pool, there is a weird reservation system that they use after 5PM. I've traveled all over the country and have never encountered something like this. However, I'm sure it is in place for a reason. We decided to swim in the morning after breakfast, pool was closed.
The highlight of our stay was certainly the breakfast. The gentlemen running the omelet station were wonderful, and very attentive with good customer service. The offerings were generous for a "free" breakfast. Scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, grits. Pastries, dry cereal, waffle maker, yogurts, and fruit.
My main concern was with the customer service of front desk and the on site restaurant. I called down to the front desk 3 times in the evening to ask if linens could be brought up to our room for the pull out bed. Each time, the phone was answered and then hung back up. My husband ended up going down to get them. If you know you will need them, just ask for them at check in.
Additionally, I called the on-site restaurant twice to try to order room service and had the same encounter. Rang, and hung up on. Not even a "I'm helping another customer, can you hold please?".
The room was clean enough, there were certainly some maintenance things that were not up to par. There were tile that were being held on by masking tape near the mini fridge, but overall not horrible."
"We requested a king size bed. We received a queen size bed. When we approached the front desk, they said they had no control over what room was booked. We could not find any ice machines that worked in the hotel. It seemed to be more of a nightclub /convention center than an actual Holiday Inn hotel . Very disappointed will not stay at that hotel again."
"My stay was okay for a last minute booking.
The front desk staff were excellent and extremely helpful!
The room was clean for the most part. The bathroom could offer more amenities like toothbrush and toothpaste. Also the tub wouldn’t drain while I was showering and I thought it would overflow.
The hotel restaurant was okay. You have to wait to be seated and we were basically ignored by 4 servers as we waited for 10 minutes. It wasn’t until I attempted to seat myself that a server that was wrapping silverware in the back and watching me wait came over to seat us. I did share my disappointment with being ignored.
She did apologize.
We went to the breakfast buffet and everything was at the bottom of the barrel and it was only 10am. I politely asked someone could the food be replenished and was told that “we eat them out here” I don’t know what that meant.
After about 15 mins the food was replenished and tasted okay.
I am typically a big tipper but I did not leave one simply because my entire experience was not worth the $200 and was mediocre.
Front desk staff was the best when entering and exiting! "
