"The hotel was updated and clean, however we could not turn the heat down in our room. Then due to the open layout of the hotel we were awaken very early on a Saturday morning to the sound of racers gathering in the lobby for the St. Patty's day run."

"We travelled with our dog. 1st room, TV did not work. 2nd room smelled like old stale smoke. Very intense. I went to the front desk to make sure, that we wouldn't be charged for smoking. There was a policy clearly posted about a smoke free hotel."

"After a less than desirable night at another local hotel we called this hotel at 7:30am to see if they would have a room we could immediately get into. We explained our situation at our current hotel and they just told us to come on over right away, 'we've got you'. As soon as we walked in the door, they knew who we were, what our situation was, and were ready immediately to check us in. They encouraged us and our young children to have breakfast and relax. The hotel was clean. The pool and hot tub were simple, but clean and plenty of towels available, the kids had an amazing time. The breakfast was typical continental breakfast, but quickly refilled and clean. They had coffee machines that ground and brewed coffee on demand and was the best cup of hotel coffee I've had in many years. All the hotel staff we encountered were very pleasant, kind, and helpful. Switching to this hotel made our entire weekend better. "

"After driving 8 hours with two children (5 and 3), it was late, past bedtime and we were ready to crash. At check in we were told they were unable to make room keys, but someone would be able to let us into our room with a master key. We were told this has been an issue for multiple weeks. If we would have known this ahead of time, we would have booked a different hotel. On top of this, there were a lot of corners cut with cleaning. I'm not a super neat freak, but I was very unimpressed. Nothing was overtly very dirty, but there was crumbs and dirt in corners and hard to reach places, and that general unclean feeling in the room. The Hotel also seems like it has been renovated from a much older building, which is fine, but not what we wanted. We unfortunately did not use our better judgement and stayed one night. We were supposed to stay another night, but could not imagine staying any longer. When we tried to get a refund for our second night, we were denied. This hotel seems like its very nice and upgraded and for the price seems like it should be better than a motel, but definitely more motel than hotel. The hotel staff we did encounter were plenty pleasant and kind, but we could not get over no key cards and the cleanliness. "
