The front door to the building stays open for a few minutes after you enter the code, so anyone on the street can easily just open and close the front door to the hostel as they please, and since there isn’t anyone at the front desk (or wasn’t the entire time we visited) there’s really nothing stopping someone just wandering around the place if they wanted. "We loved Hyatt Place. The room was very clean, quiet, and nicely appointed. The breakfast was exceptional -- so many choices, including turkey sausages and breakfast burritos! The staff was friendly and helpful. The fitness room is enormous with extensive equipment and looks brand new. The location was ideal for exploring downtown Seattle. We would happily stay there again! One suggestion: Recycling bins in the rooms would be a great addition."

"Don’t be fooled, this is not a “suite”, it is a tiny room with a bathroom. The property is a large “home” with multiple different rooms and paper thin walls, so if you’re lucky like us you might get another guest who likes to slam the fridge door, microwave, or their shower door at 2am. Also note that the kitchen is a shared kitchen, which has limited mentions in the description, so this is not exactly a private stay. The kitchen had an odd smell, from everyone’s food and the free street parking...

"The breakfast was excellent. The room was very clean and comfortable. The cost of parking was atrocious. Our waitress in the restaurant was wonderful, however, the shrimp was barely edible and it is unethical to add hidden costs to your dining bill, ie increased minimum wage adjustment."

"Great if you just need a bed and a shower. Needed a deep clean. Affordable but IMO should have been cheaper for the level of standards. Customer service through messaging was good and prompt. All said, I probably would stay there again if money was tight."

"The staff goes way out of their way to accomodate you and make sure you have a great stay. We were pretty needy at one point and they were amazing with helping us. There is a gentleman working the desk who was the absolute best and I wish I had his name, but he is from California and was better to us then most places have ever been. If you get a chance to stay here, it's cute and has amazing staff! "
