"I did not have breakfast but the price was much lower than other places so I can't complain entirely because other places were far more expensive and I made the reservation at the last minute. İf there were no towels no heat no television and the only thing I can say was it was a place to sleep and I left very early in the morning as soon as possible. They had a sizable liquor selection at the front desk so if a person is drinking and doesn't take much attention to everything else it would probably work out much better. The public transportation in front does run 24 hours so it's possible to get into the main city easily once you understand what to do. I think it's a former Soviet block building"

"Clean and practical. Really only negative feedback is that the hotel lacks character - totally monochrome and the doors are tricky to open - very difficult to grip when your hands are cold. There's a construction site next door, however no noise whatsoever and room was neat and I liked the kitchenette, handy to have plates, glasses, cups, kettle and a coffee machine. Everything you need!"

"Smartments Berlin Karlshorst is for those who travel on a budget. I travel a lot and prefer to stay in apartment hotels. I think this hotel is one of the best in this category. A minute walk to the public transport, 10-15 minutes ride to the city center. The hotel is clean, the staff is very helpful ( special thanks to Ms.Pilar), rooms are cozy and if you need extra supplies, there is a room for that on every floor. Yes, I recommend this hotel, and when again in Berlin will stay at Smartments Berlin Karlshorst. "

"Dear Expedia Customer Support, I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent Valentine’s trip to Berlin, which was booked through Expedia. My partner and I arrived at the hotel at approximately 1:30am after travelling, only to be informed that the Senior Suite I had paid for was no longer available. Without any clear explanation, we were told the room had effectively been downgraded. The receptionist was unable to provide a reason as to why the room I had booked and paid for had been given to another guest, nor could they explain how this situation had occurred. After being shown an alternative room, we were left with no real choice but to accept a standard room with a standard bed — significantly below the level of accommodation I had reserved and paid for. I requested either the correct room or a refund of the price difference, but this was refused. I find it completely unacceptable that a confirmed and fully paid booking was not honoured. The issues continued throughout the stay. During our three-night visit: No housekeeping attended our room. Bed sheets were not changed. The room was not cleaned at any point. On the second night, after returning late in the evening, we found the room untouched. The following day, we had to go down to reception and request fresh bed sheets and pillowcases ourselves. "I like the hotel and location. We had beautifull room with great view. Stuff was nice and friendly. Room was cleaned daily. But Im giving 4 stars because when we asked for another duvet they didnt have one and also ventilation was full of dust and under the bed was so much dust that you could chocke."
