"I like supporting "local" when I can. This place is way different than corporate chain-style lodging venues. It has character. Friendly hosts and a nice facility with a "vintage" feel - hey, after all it's part of their name! Although my room was on the small side, it had everything I needed and nothing I didn't - it was clean, nicely decorated in a rustic style that was just plain comfy. In an area like Okoboji, who spends a lot of time in a motel room anyway? It's centrally located to just about any place you'd want to visit in the lakes area. Bike rentals on-site and a bar and grill next door with outdoor seating and live music Friday and Saturday nights during the summer. No complaints here! First time there but I'd absolutely stay again. "
