"Lovely hotel with lots of its original character, plus modern amenities. I love the extra touches like the nice espresso machine always available, the fancy water bottle filling machine. Plus flavored water, cookies, popcorn, and fruit in the lobby all the time! Room felt clean and safe, though as a woman traveling alone, I wish there were a chain on the door alongside the deadbolt. The mini fridge was bigger and colder than ones I’ve had in similarly priced hotels. My room had a huge walk-in closet! Walgreens down the block, fun shopping around the corner, great food at a classic restaurant next door, nice staff—next time I’m in San Francisco I’ll definitely be back!"
