"Wonderful all around! Very well maintained, close to everything, comfortable bed, and wonderful breakfast. Will definitely stay here again when we’re back in Detroit!"

"I love my stay at the Roost . I felt like I was home just in another state. I had the same dish detergent and hand wash I used at home . The bed was so comfortable. Everything was clean and satisfying! Room service for breakfast in the morning. I had a green smoothie with a full breakfast ! Just an overall stellar stay ! Only bad point the temperature in the room would not warm me up enough for those cold Detroit nights !"

"Very warm welcome, the room was really nice and the bed was comfortable enough to sleep in. Would certainly return."

""This is the second time I've booked a standard room through Expedia, only to be checked into an accessible (ADA) room upon arrival. I’m concerned this might be standard practice for third-party bookings, which shouldn't be the case—especially when a standard room was explicitly requested"

"Room was clean and the staff was courteous and helpful"

"Had a great stay at the David Whitney Hotel! Beautiful historic building, great atmosphere, friendly service, and a perfect downtown location. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!"

"Charming downtown Detroit hotel. Very conveniently located. Small, well appointed rooms."

"Nice room"

"This is a nice quaint hotel. Like stepping back in time. Very homey. Great location!! Can walk to arenas, stadiums, and restaurants. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Contininental breakfast is good and coffee is excellent Be aware hotel parking is not afilliated with the hotel and is also used for event parking and you must prepay online when you get there and lot is not monitored all the time. Still Highly recommend this hotel."

"The casino is clean and rooms"

"This is our second stay here, and not sure we’ll be back. The cleanliness seems to be worse than the time before and they’ve really lost the “attention to detail” that you would expect from this kind of hotel. It was obvious the room turnover was rushed and we had to call down to ask for more pillows (only two in the room) and towels (same). The location is great, but might need to find an alternative for our next visit."

"2nd.stay here. Perfect location. Are seems cleaner and less grimy than 2 years ago. Unit was as described with few small issues. Torn curtains. Broken handle in shower and missing batteries in remote. Floor was pretty quiet. Great view and very comfy beds."

"Everything was great. I can’t wait to book again."
