"I understand we are in a dessert but there is no need for the room furniture to be full of dust and the AC filter covers to be dirty right above the bed. Cleanliness outside the resort was well kept but the interior rooms could be cleaner and updated along with the pool. Staff was very welcoming and would recommend the horse Back excursion. "

"A simple motel near Big Bend. Looked like it was updated recently. Convenient access to Big Bend. Not a whole lot around the property in terms of dining options but having a microwave and a fridge made up for it. A general store was nearby as well"

"Worst hotel/motel I have ever stayed. Condition of room, flooring, plumbing-all was horrible. Outside of room, cigarette butts littered the window sills and floor. Receptionist may? have spoken some English. Apparently some “short term” residents at the property. I slept in my clothes on top of bed spread as I didn’t trust cleanliness. Cheap but…"

"Modern, clean, and elegant. Great views of the mountains in the distance makes for beautiful mornings and evenings. Wonderful common areas and amenities. Highly recommend."

"Door was not easy to lock with doorknob lock and that was an issue since there was no deadbolt. No person at location for check in. It took a trip across town to get a room key from the desk guy of another hotel. Rustic is the vibe they were shooting for, but I would just call the overall condition old and tired. Expedia would not let me post the picture I took of the chair in the room that looked more like a refugee from a landfill that a piece of hotel furniture."

"Amazing! Located 4 miles from West entrance to Big Bend. Large comfortable room with rainfall shower which was attended to each day to restock toiletries and coffee. Only issue would be park traffic which begins around 5ish."

"Well, there is no property staff. It was clean and nicely appointed, a pretty nice place. However - they have a massive bowl of ear plugs in the common area - take this note: if you are at all bothered by noise - you will need the ear plugs. These are some of the noisiest rooms I have ever experienced. Ironically - the air conditioning split-unit was very quiet, as was the ceiling fan. But everything else… Yes, there is a bar downstairs with bands playing - we knew that and we enjoyed watching...

"This hotel might be a nice hotel one day but currently it should not be taking reservations. Our hotel room had stains on the ceiling, soap dispensers that didn’t work and an overall yuck feel. It is in the middle of a just close it down and finish it remodel and I’m sure when it is done will be nice but as is I would look elsewhere or pray you’re in an already renovated room. Alpine the city was a gem and wouldn’t think twice when staying in Alpine the city again just not this hotel."

"The rooms were cleaned as well as possible but there is mold growing on the silicone on top of the showers in both rooms. There are tears and bunching of the carpet in the rooms. "
