"Having not been for a couple of decades a last minute visit took us there yesterday to escape the frigid cold and we were delighted. The staff was courteous, under stated and professional as you might hope and from the lovely beamed ceiling bar to the beautifully appointed dining room the place excused comfortable elegance. "As a quick staycation, this was a great hotel for the value. You could tell that the few staff were working double duty to ensure a great experience and pulled that off. The room was clean and spacious. While generally quiet, the rooms above were rather loud. Breakfast had a good variety with hot options like a waffle maker, eggs, sausage, bagels and toast.
