Top Connecticut Hotel Reviews

Two Trees Inn

8/10 Good

"Great hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. But I wish they would stop telling guests the shuttle every 30-40 minutes, do NOT believe them. The shuttle is owned by the casinos and if they are short staffed you will wait. Luckily it's close enough that you can walk it, which is what I did, but after dark it's probably not the smartest. Continental breakfast is truly continental - toast, bagels, muffins, cakes, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, juice."

Best Western Hartford Hotel & Suites

8/10 Good

"This is an older motel.... room was clean and well stocked. Our room was at the end of a hallway and a convenient entry door at the back of the building. Parking was plentiful and with handicapped tag, as we were right next to the door. I am glad on my reservation I made a comment that we preferred a ground level room if there is no elevator. Inside this back entry door was a set of stairs going to the second level.... very hard to lug suitcases etc. up steps for seniors. Breakfast area is pleasant and a variety of hot sausage and eggs and bagels, muffins, etc Something I had never seen before was premade French toast....heat up in the toaster and enjoy with butter/syrup. A variety of juices and coffee available. My husband went down there one morning and found none of the containers were being refilled and it wasn't that late. This stayed open until 10 am which is later than most other motel/hotel breakfast areas."

Amsterdam Hotel

8/10 Good

"I was a little skeptical about booking because of the price and some negative reviews; however, I'm glad that I did. I was a single, female traveler, and the area didn't feel unsafe. The outside looks a little questionable at first, as it's old, but the lobby area was very nice, and the staff was exceptional. The rooms are dated, with older decor and a little"

Ethan Allen Hotel

8/10 Good

"There was a customer smoking pot out to the side in the front of the building near the door when I got there and all the smoke was coming in... after driving to get here in the rain I really thought ugh maybe this is going to be terrible. But we settled in were able to go down to the bar area and have a quick bite..The bar tender was really friendly and the hummus was great...I wasn't expecting much because of a review but out came this huge order that was delicious... fries were great and neighbor's salad order made me want to order more. There is no breakfast but there was hot coffee and tea.. there's a small coffee shop just down the road with Lattes and such and a diner as well so not to worry.. The set up for rooms elevator is confusing but it works just go through the large room and you'll get there.. Room was clean towels fluffy.. bed soft not firm and variety of pillows though I couldn't get my right fit..."
