"Yes to both. Room very clean. Staff friendly. We have two concerns. The main one was that the lift wasn't working and none of the rooms were on the ground, or first, floor. We weren't warned of this beforehand. There were also steps outside down to get to the hotel part and up to get to the restaurant part. Also, we found the room very very hot overnight and couldn't do anything about it. Otherwise fine."

"We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Boclair - the building is a lovely art deco style building. Very clean, great room and a lovely breakfast. The staff were all lovely and very friendly. We had a great chat with Brendan on the front desk and we would highly recommend the hotel. "

"A little gem in Scotland all off grid and powered by solar and wood burners. Excellent deco and facilities with no 3 pin electric socket so no tv and the perfect place to chill and relax especially in the wood fired hot tub. Gordon had it all fired up and by the time we had stoked it too the thermostat was showing 90 degrees and we sat like prunes for 2hrs even when it rained and sleeted it didn’t ruin the relaxation of sitting their looking over the countryside to Loch Lomond. "This place is absolutely beautiful. The beds are very comfy, the hosts are incredible, they were in touch to make sure everything is OK and if we needed anything. The whole place is very very clean. It is so homely, I definitely recommend it, and would certainly book it again over any hotel anytime! Thank you so much"

"Where do we begin? We arrived at the hotel, and the staff was courteous and very accommodating. Lunch and dinner at the hotel was exquisite, the room was clean and immaculately appointed, and our night’s sleep was peaceful. I had a Expedia 20% off food & drinks voucher but the hotel failed to deduct this discount on drinks, even though id asked twice - so thats a con Staff at reception require a " personality transplant' as none were welcoming even though we were extremely friendly & polite. Manners cost nothing. "
