"Very unclean and unhygienic, outdated, a lick of paint and a hoover around wouldn't go a miss, I found half eaten nuts on the floor beside the bed, there was crumbs everywhere, even inside the bed side table drawers, the bathroom door didn't close properly, the shower and toilet face eachother and when the shower has been used it takes about 20 minutes to drain and the toilet is drenched, not a good set up there, dirt in the bed, stains on the divan, window didnt open or close easy, the blind...

"I stayed for a night in early August. Had an evening meal for which there was no ‘service’ charge added. I stayed again at the end of August & had an evening meal only this time there was a ‘service’ charge of 10% added. I challenged this only to be told “it is on the menu”. It was not ‘on the menu’. The charge was returned but why was it there to start with & nothing to alert you to what I was later told was a discretionary payment! The receptionist on each visit was fantastic. "Bathroom was really dirty, hair in the shower, mould on the ceiling, shower wasn't fitted for the wall properly. No curtains in the room and inadequate slatted window covers so it was light all the time. View out the window was onto piles of rubbish in the car park. Loads of street noise at night, music, people talking, the train. Two of us checked in but only one towel in the bathroom. Terrible night sleep all in all, left as soon as possible."

"Das Bett war echt was für frisch Verliebte und ziemlich hart. Unser Zimmer ging hinten raus und lag gefühlt über dem Arbeitsbereich des Hotels. Lüftungen liefen und es war sehr betriebsam, insbesondere am frühen Morgen. Gegessen haben wir abends und es war lecker, auch die Cocktails. Frühstück haben wir nicht gebucht. Als Zwischenstopp war es in Ordnung, aber ich würde nächstes Mal ein anderes Hotel wählen."

"The gal at the front desk was amazing, I’d only had three hours of sleep because I went to the Prodigy gig the night before and then I decided this was a decent place to crash for the night. I got in early and while I was willing to sleep in my car until time to check in, she went above and beyond to get me sorted. There was also a really lovely lady who was working on my floor doing housekeeping who I chatted with briefly. She told me to go in and get my head down, and was just so friendly....

"a very good value for money option for those wanting to stay near glasgow. Reasonable commute by car to the city (1/2 hour or so) - suggest you go the more Country route. Local area isn’t significant, so suggest you eat in the city. Our large room got a lovely sunset, whilst sitting on a large raised couch. Quiet. (though the birds can get noisy for a bit - nothing the property can do about that though). Sheep in the garden ! Recommended."
