"Matfen Hall really is outstanding, my stay was faultless. All staff were so warm, welcoming and helpful- I was greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and my bags were taken up to my room whilst I checked in and relaxed in the Great Hall. "We had a first class break over Christmas, nothing was too much trouble for Michael,the owner, the room was very clean and cosy. Lovely bathroom,eco friendly shampoo etc. Breakfast was plentiful, could only manage a small one!! Would recommend Farne Island B and B. A big thank you to Michael! "

"Both of our hosts made us very welcome and put themselves out to check on evening activities in sorrounding areas for my 11 year old granddaughter. The ensuite family room was beautiful with coffee .tea and bottled water and biscuits. Breakfast also excellent choices.. Will stay again."

"The pink room is spacious and very well furnished. Everything was provided. There was even a view towards Bamburgh Castle which was a bonus. We were very impressed with the whole of the property. The owners were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was of an excellent standard. We will definately be reurning for a longer stay. We would recommend Railston House unreservedly."
