"Idividual parking building next to the hotel. The parking lot was almost full for the day I stayed at the hotel. The public bath is big and well kept. The elevator is a bit slow. Lawson right across from the hotel. There are smoking rooms available. Although a bit outdated I had a comfortable stay"

- Family holiday bliss with an amazing sea view, mineral hot springs, and a welcoming staff at this traditional ryokan.
"Great ryokan. We paid for half-board, so dinner and breakfast were included. Typical kaiseki dinner. Rooftop bath was amazing. The public baths overlook the sea and provides an incredible view. On the men's side there are two baths indoor, one hot and one cold. There's also a dry sauna and an outdoor bath."

- Family-friendly Beppu retreat offers cosy lodging with kids' amenities near scenic park and attractions.
"Hotel is quite new and walkable from Beppu JR. It's modern, ecofriendly and have all amenities that one needs for a short stay. Staff is very polite and can speak very good English. Hotel staff is also willing to advise about things to do in Beppu and how to explore Beppu efficiently if you are not driving.
Surprisingly breakfast was also quite good. Operated by couple of Japanese lady chefs it has good options for kids and adults.
