"This was our first stop on arrival in Sri Lanka and it didn’t disappoint. The staff are wonderful, the food was gorgeous and the setting by the lake was idyllic. The rooms are comfortable, clean and have high ceilings and views of the lake. Altogether a great start to our holiday."

However, the shower room had some mold that wasn’t properly cleaned, which is why I gave this rating. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a quiet stay. "While the location was convenient, our stay was disappointing overall. Our room was three flights of stairs up with no elevator assistance, which made carrying luggage difficult. The bathroom was not stocked with basic toiletries, the electricity went out during our stay, and the air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool. The Wi-Fi was also unreliable. The pool is more of a small dipping pool than a pool you can actually swim in, so don’t expect it to be suitable for families or exercise....

The food from the property was fresh, the front desk was very helpful. The property is serene and beautiful. I enjoyed my stay and felt super safe as a solo female."
