"Check-in was friendly and smooth. Room was spacious, clean and comfy; shower was particularly good. Only areas for improvement - there were couple of minor areas needing repair (card slot to turn on lights coming off and hand soap nozzle loose) and could do with more hangers in the wardrobe. Breakfast had a lot of choice and very good quality in a lovely setting. Location is very convenient for city centre. Overall a great stay and fantastic value for money, will definitely be back."

"The club room was colourful, clean, spacious with a powerful shower, comfortable bed and enough to get around. Seemed a pretty quiet hotel but we stayed on a Sunday evening. No fan or air conditioning in room but we stayed cool. The pool/spa and gym were fantastic with us being able to get a locker for free. Membership of these facilities on the high side but we got free use with our club room. We decided against the pub/grill as prices were unbelievably high however hotel allowed us to order in...

"From walking through the door, the young man on reception was polite, explained everything and with a smile. The room was clean, tidy and the bed was comfortable. At breakfast the experience continued to be brilliant, the lady explained the way Breakfast was a buffet and where things were. Wonderful view looking out over the wharf. Food was of a high Standard. "The Holiday Inn is in an excellent location for the castle and everything Cardiff has to offer. The lobby, bar and breakfast area are modern and welcoming; and the buffet breakfast was very good. My only criticism was that our room, although large with a comfy bed, was a bit tired and shabby; it lacked the modern touches that the reception and restaurant have been furnished with and the bathroom is small and a bit drab. As we were staying on a concert weekend the room rate was higher than usual...
