"Overall it is really an excellent hotel. Many of the rooms should be updated, but still they are adequate and spacious. The breakfast area can be busy, but there is a large adjacent room with plenty of space. The hotel staff were great. The onsen has a spacious indoor bath and plenty of washing areas. The outdoor bath is very pleasant, just be careful walking on the stone surfaces. The staff takes good care of the onsen and sauna. The location is good. "Positive point: very short distance from station. Near this guesthouse, there's a nice udon restaurant. Room is big enough to rest. Negative Point: short distance from station also means there'll be some noise caused by train. I saw a giant bug on the ceiling at night. Moreover, some electric outlets and little lamp on the bed didn't work. Only outlets in 2 out of 4 beds worked properly. Air conditioner works well, but it barely gets warm. "Very nice view of the lake. Very helpful staff. The rooms have a private onsen hot tub on the balcony. The rooms have tatami and are set up to sleep on the floor. You can request a bed frame to elevate the futon, but it's better to request a bed when making the reservation (although you may enjoy sleeping on a futon, Japanese style)."
