"The entire property is in a state of disrepair. The spa wasn’t open. The pool wasn’t open. The sauna wasn’t open. The restaurant wasn’t open. The tennis court appeared to be totally overgrown. A walkway bridge had collapsed. If u want to experience a historic property in faded glory next to the Hudson River with fallen trees littering the walkways, without amenities, this is the stay for you."

"Our stay was rather disappointing. The property seems neglected. Some lightbulbs in the bathroom were not working . The coffee maker was really filthy inside. Instead of breakfast we were offered some packaged pastry from a gas station. Plus, there were a bunch of insects in the room. There was no drinking water in the property we ended up driving to get water. I don’t understand they can charge so much money "

"Very disappointing customer service at Studio 6 in Poughkeepsie. I spent a week trying to extend my reservation, but staff kept passing the responsibility to one another. Alex, the night employee, told me the morning staff could handle it. The morning employee said she needed to speak with the manager, took my phone number, and promised to contact me. With checkout approaching the next morning, I still had no clear answer. I needed to pick up my dad at the airport that morning, so I wanted to...

"There is extreme visible damage as soon as you drive up to the front of the building. The girl at the front desk in the later hours with the glasses should not be in the customer service business. She is rude, no personality and made me feel as though I was bothering her when I was checking in. The room is sub-par but the yellow stains on the outside blankets of both beds making it difficult to want to sleep. The following morning was the sweetest and most enjoyable front desk member but...

"Room was great. All facilities were clean and decor is very nice, modern and not old or worn out. Breakfast was above average. Only big problem was the use of the ev charger. My daughter has an ev and the front desk person was not helpful at all to my daughter in trying to turn in the power for the charger. It took way too many calls, downstairs visits and back and forth questions until front desk staff finally turned it on. Not sure why this was such a problem but it took way too away from...

"The views and room design were beautiful, and we enjoyed the sauna and steam rooms. However, we expected the small indoor pool to feel more like a hot tub. The water was too cool for us to relax comfortably, although a staff member said the temperature was normal. Service also varied: the woman on the first day wasn’t very welcoming when we asked for coffee, while the man the next morning was warm and friendly. The New Paltz area is lovely for walks and a short getaway, but we would only...

"It was quiet and front desk was helpful."

"AC would not adjust at all. Was freezing all night!!!!!"

"Did not offer amenities listed- daily room cleaning did not happen, bedsheets were torn/ripped and staff was not helpful. Wi-Fi is extremely weak service. Very disappointed stay and will not return."

"Good location for college visit. We had issues at check-in (took a long time), getting wrong room and having to go back to front desk to get right room, dog next door barking starting at 7a (owners just left poor dog who then barked all morning). Marriot offered to move us (which we chose to do) and second room was great."
