"The room was large with all the amenities you need. Everything was spotless and our 2 night stay was the best we have had so far. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. You can walk to plenty of bars and restaurants and we find New Zealanders to be very friendly. Highly recommended. "

"I enjoyed my stay at the Microtel Lodge. There are a variety of different rooms depending on what's needed, but all rooms are very neat and clean, including a very good TV & air conditioner. The bed, sheets & towels are new, the shared bathroom, kitchen, laundary & property, were all very clean, modern & well maintained. The host l met was excellent and went above and beyond to help. This made my stay enjoyable & memorable. There is a short walk to:-Supermarkets, Petrol station, Victoria...

"We absolutely love staying at this property. It is a motel and also has a hotel associated with it. There’s a pool on a hot tub. The building seems safe as it is locked at night and requires key access. It is a great place to launch off into Raglan or the Waitomo glowworm caves. This hotel is exceptionally clean and provides a great value for the price. The staff is super friendly when you check in and very kind. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your hotel."

"Firstly, I arrived to find that I received a free upgrade - so the stay got off to an excellent start. I always appreciate being accommodated on the top level of the lodge, due to my erratic sleep pattern. All the usual things were top notch: great facilities, clean room, plenty of space, nice bathroom, relatively quiet location, handy parking, and welcoming front-office staff. I'll be back to stay in February (I'm a regular visitor)."
