"While the staff were friendly and hardworking, the general cleanliness of the property left much to be desired. Scuff marks, dirt stains, various cracks and spots of damage... The room I stayed in had recently been cleaned (keypad still damp from being wiped down, all supplies replenished,) however the trash in the suite kitchenette had not been taken out and there was a plastic case for a THC product. The balcony was coated in dirt with the plastic furniture having reminants of cigarette ash despite it being a non-smoking room and balcony.
Beds were unfortunately not as comfortable as other reviews had described, rather firm, and squeaky. There was also construction noises happening at 9pm on a Friday night, which was strange enough, but I found out soon after that it was because the gate to the covered parking was broken. I wish there was advanced notice this work was going to be done or for it to be held off until all guests had returned for the evening.
As another review said, the staff seem to be doing the best with a dwindling budget, and I do not blame them for the state of the hotel, though a bit more attention to detail would have been appreciated.
On a positive note, the breakfast spread was wonderful and even had a small outdoor section to eat in! Being right by the water was super convenient to see the 50th Parallel Marker and infamous Big Rock. Unfortunately would not stay here again though I'd love to if it got proper funding and a revamp."
